First of all, I‘m glad you took the time to come visit my design portfolio!

My name is Michael Nguyen, but you can call me Mike or Micha. On the internet I usually go by Mayu(n), so that works as well. I‘m a friendly, down-to-earth fellow from Berlin with an undying thirst for everything that is aesthetically pleasing to the senses. That passion has led me to become a visual communication designer.

As far as I can remember, I have been fascinated by art and comic book heroes (read: I drew Batman stick figures), yet my love for design only began to bloom when I was 20. Prior to that, I focused on classical music for about 10 years until I found design to be something I enjoyed even more. It‘s been 4 years since then and I couldn‘t be more excited to grab pen and paper and start creating things.

I enjoy thinking critically about design and film, contemplating about typefaces and grid layouts and taking cinematographic photographs. Most of all, I like working in teams and embrace collaborations with my creative peers!
When I‘m not sketching logos or pacing around the room to get my creative juices flowing, I work on languages (currently French and Japanese) or I practice some Chopin on my piano. I also like me some Chopin on the cutting board (heh) when trying out new recipes. And who knew watching cooking tutorials could me so much fun.

So, is there any way I can help you? If you‘ve found yourself in a creative conundrum and you are in need of fresh perspectives (yes, plural - I‘m never short of ideas!), be sure to get in touch!

Until then, feel free to look around and don‘t hesitate to send me some feedback. I‘d love to hear from you!
And hey, maybe we can create something beautiful together. Thanks again for stopping by! *waves*
